At Hotel Cala d’Or Playa, we ask our guests to help us protect the environment and join this initiative by following these simple actions:

- Washing bed linen and towels on request.
- Saving water, as it is a scarce resource on the island.
- Using air conditioning only when necessary.

With these simple measures, we save energy and water, and reduce the use of detergents and chemical products.

Water Saving

Water scarcity is a constant concern in Mallorca. One of the main causes is human overuse of this valuable resource. A good way to mitigate water shortages and contribute to nature conservation in Mallorca is to limit its use. That’s why at Hotel Cala d’Or Playa we focus strongly on water-saving measures, supported by both our employees and guests.

Solar Panels

We have solar panels that generate up to 100 kW of energy. With an investment of 150,000 euros, we’ve turned our hotel into an establishment committed to sustainability and respect for the environment.

Recycling

For years, we have been recycling all waste generated in the restaurant, separating organic compounds, oils, glass, metals, plastics, and paper into dedicated containers. Guests also have access to two recycling points within the hotel.

Electric Mobility

We are one of the few hotels in the area with electric car charging stations in our parking area. The service is paid, and guests can collect their recharge card at reception.

Laundry

We work with ILUNION Laundries, whose industrial facilities feature state-of-the-art technology, optimized operational processes, and quality control systems that ensure water, electricity, and gas consumption are kept to the minimum necessary. We care for the environment and operate with energy efficiency in mind..
